Sink faucets come in all shapes and sizes but choosing them can be fun. Even more fun is the money that you can save when you fit them yourself.

Sink faucets can be replaced very easily by anyone. You do not need to spend lots of money to get in a professional plumber.

We will try to help you with three areas of basic information for you.

Choosing The Faucet. It is a good idea to remove your existing faucet from the wall mount sink and take it down to your local hardware shop when you go.This will make it easier to make sure that it fits properly although there is a basic size for the hook up for each usage.Modern bathroom sinks have a wide variety of faucet designs that you can pick from.First choice is between a faucet with a single or a double handle. The normal bathroom sink faucet has a standard fitting of 4 inches while the bath tub is normally 8 inches but check yours. So get your tape measure out and, if you have chosen a double handled one measure the distance from the middle of one handle to the middle of the other.

A single handle is different in that you actually need to measure the distance between the water hook up lines on the bottom of the faucet.

With that information you can choose the style that suits you best.

The Tools To Use.You will need wrenches to hold the shut off valve when you remove the current supply line. You will need a pair of pliers to lock the channel or a basin wrench. The basin wrench is better as it is specially designed to work in small areas that are hard to get at.

Fitting The New Faucet.

First of all make sure that you have turned off the water supply to the sink, then you take off the pipes that bring the water in without getting drenched. Then remove those nuts which hold the faucet on to the sink which allows you to separate the facet from the sink itself. Then get a cloth and make sure that you thoroughly clean the area where you have removed the faucet from. Now take your new unit and put it in where the old one came out of.It will be easier if someone else is at hand to guide you in keeping it in the right place while you fix on the new nuts to hold it in place.

Ensure that the nuts are tightened as much as you can and you are ready to link in the water supply pipes.

When you turn the supply back on you must check that there are no leaks in the joints anywhere.

If there are you will need to reinstall it and make sure that each bit is held in place tightly. You could always use a bit of plumber’s putty just to make sure that there are no drips, especially between the sink and the faucet.

Then relax, admire and work out how much money you have saved by fitting the sink faucets yourself.

Bathroom remodeling pictures are an absolute must so that you can see what you are doing when you remodel your home.

Bathroom remodeling pictures are always a great help when you are looking to change around the feel of your bathroom. When you are thinking about doing this I know that you normally are in a hurry to get started as soon as you can.

You can, of course leave it all up to the professionals to come up with the ideas and design everything but may prefer to do the initial planning on your own. It is advisable that you should know a bit about what you are trying to do first though. This is where a picture will come in most useful as it is easier to visualise the complete effect of the finished room with them.

It can be a great money and time saver as well.

The most popular alterations to remodel the bathroom are to replace a wall mount sink or replace the tiles around the bath or the shower. Neither of these two DIY projects are particularly difficult to achieve if you have basic house decorating abilities.

It will still be a lot more convenient for you though if you can find some photos that have a step by step instruction cheat sheet with them. It is the best of both worlds, you can both read and see the task that you are undertaking.

Mistakes should be avoided this way. Make sure that you find the most detailed pictures and instructions that you can as well.

Even though modern bathroom sinks come in all shapes and sizes, the plumbing behind them is very similar. After all there has to be a couple of pipes for the hot and cold water to come in and another pipe to take it away again.

It is not quite as straightforward as that but with the help of the detailed paperwork, the Do-It-Yourself method will be easily manageable. The toilet plumbing is a bit more complex however.

If anything getting the tiles replaced is probably slightly more complicated as you have to make sure that every tile lines up perfectly and ensure that they stick on the wall permanently. Then you simply fill in the gaps with grout to protect them.

You can also do lots of other things in the bathroom, kitchen or any other part of your home for that matter yourself except probably the electrics. It is a well known fact that electricity and water are not a good mix so that does have to be done by qualified electricians.

You can search around for some bathroom remodeling pictures online or go down to your local bathrooms store, they will be only too willing to let you have some.

Modern bathroom sinks are different and can breathe fresh air into a home. We spend lots of time there but a bathroom makeover is often the last room done.

Modern bathroom sinks are very different from their predecessors and can breathe a breath of fresh air in a home. It is odd that we spend a lot of time in there but a bathroom makeover is often the last thing on anyone’s mind.

So maybe now is the time to do something about it

You do not need to pay a lot of money for professional bathroom remodelers, just surf around on the internet and you will be able to do it yourself.

Whether you decide to take in the whole room or just a part of it, no doubt the wash basin will be the place to start. There is an enormous choice out there in the stores as well as here online. Here are some questions to guide you along:-

1. What kind of sink do you want?

Maybe that could be a traditional wash basin style or a more modern sink which might be more colorful and decorative. You then need to consider whether a wall mount sink is your choice or maybe an undermount bathroom sink or even the standalone version.

2. Is the sink suitable for your bathroom?

If you have your heart set on a wall mounted sink, you need to make sure that the walls are strong enough to attach it to securely.
Size is another important factor here. It is all very well wanting a double sink because there are two of you but there may not be enough room to fit it in.
Another way of doing this is to take the measurements of the space available and carry them with you when you are out in the store.

3. Where do you want to buy from?

You can sit in the comfort of your own home these days and just order it online or wander around the stores and look at and feel them there. My personal approach is to go to the stores and check the look, feel and size and settle on the model that I want.

<div style=”float: left; margin-right: 15px;”><img src=”/wp-content/uploads/wall-mount-sink-3.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Modern Bathroom Sinks” /></a></div>I then find out the cheapest place I can get it from my computer. There are so many places now that you are sure to be able to find the same one somewhere.

Very occasionally you can get in cheaper in a local shop if they have a special offer or sale going on.

Of course while you are out in the shops you will be thinking about a new toilet, bath tub, shower curtains or floor tiles. A warning though, that way it can work out more expensive than you planned.

I am sure that it does not sound like it to some but it can be a fun day out searching for modern bathroom sinks.

A wall mount sink is a very popular bit of furnishing for the bathroom.

We would like to welcome you to our website all about one of the most popular of bathroom furnishings the wall mount sink.

Firstly we need to clear up what a bathroom is. In the US we tend to think of a bathroom as “a room with a lavatory“. However in a lot of countries it is, as the name suggests, a room with a bath.

When we think about designing a bathroom I suppose the first thing that most of us put in is a bath and that is not al all surprising as that is the meaning of the word. Nowadays however a number of people are not even putting a bath but the bathtub has been replaced by a shower instead. Of course, a lot of people do include both. I think that the amount of water used by a normal shower is less than that used in an average bath. Maybe that is a part of the reason why. It could also lead to a change of meaning to “a room to bathe in”

The second thing is a toilet and to accompany that must be a wash basin. These two should always be fitted together because, as we all know, it is very important to always wash your hands after using the lavatory. In olden days and still in Europe sometimes there was a bidet in every bathroom. This is a bit like a hand basin but is for sitting in to clean the parts you are sitting on after visiting the toilet.

The wash basin in a bathroom is often in the form of a wall mount sink. This will allow for the area beneath the unit to be used as storage which is not possible if the sink unit goes all the way to the floor.

One very popular thing is to have a master bedroom with a bathroom leading off of it. This is called an en-suite bathroom and is intended to be used by the occupants of that room only. This would normally be the couple that lived in the house or, if in a hotel or similar, the people using that room.

Cleanliness has been an important part of human culture almost for ever but the bathtub as we know it today has only been around for a few hundred years. In olden times there used to be a great use of a communal bathing area. This could ewll serve a whole village or township. In fact it used to be a focal point of village life. How times change. The thought of a communal bath is abhorrent to all except sports players.

You can get a wall mount sink in many different shapes, sizes and colors although they used to always be white. They are normally made of vitreous china. All the leading bathroom fitting manufacturers will have one.

If the room in your bathroom is limited it is often popular to use a corner sink as a wall mount sink which can fit nicely in between the other units.
